On Monday, April 21, 2025, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics celebrated International Mathematics Day, which falls on March 14 of each year, named after the approximate value of π, which is approximately equal to 3.14. During the celebration, distinguished speeches were delivered by:

* Ms. Asma Alghayb, Head of the Department

* Ms. Naima Kafu, Faculty Member in the Department

* Dr. Jumaa Saleh, Faculty Member in the Department of Psychology and Professor of General Studies

* Mr. Basem Al-Shabli, Head of the Quality Department at the College

A visual presentation was also given to introduce this special day. The department's students presented and organized the program, including special segments such as poetry and a mathematics competition.

At the end of the celebration, a prominent figure in mathematics from the city of Yafran was honored: Professor Taher Kafu, who has contributed greatly to the department, the college, and the university during his tenure.
